Red Card
Terms of purchase
Last updated October 10, 2026
These terms cover buying Red Card from Becoming Boundless LLC, an Oregon company. They're written in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ask before you buy: sasha.illig@gmail.com.
What you're buying
- Red Card for your company, a year at a time, at the tier that matches your fleet (the number of engines and tenders you run). It renews each year until you cancel.
- Everyone in your company can use it. There's no charge per person.
- Founding partners also get setup help, a check-in every two weeks during the beta, and a direct line to the builder.
Red Card is in beta
Red Card is being finished during the beta, with your help. Features will change and improve, and some things won't work perfectly yet. We'll tell you plainly what's ready and what isn't, and we'll fix problems as fast as we can.
Price and payment
- You pay for each year up front, by card through Stripe. Becoming Boundless never sees or stores your card number.
- Founding price: founding partners pay half of the list price, and that price stays for as long as you renew each year without a gap. If your fleet grows into the next tier, you move to that tier's founding price.
- Companies running 1 to 3 engines and tenders pay the list price.
- Prices don't include any sales tax that may apply where you are. If tax ever applies, we'll tell you before you renew.
Refunds
- Founding partners: a full refund within 60 days of payment, for any reason. Just tell us.
- After 60 days, payments aren't refundable for the rest of the year, except where the law requires it.
- If we ever stop offering Red Card, we'll refund the unused part of your year.
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Your bank usually shows them within 5 to 10 business days.
Renewal and cancelling
- Red Card renews automatically every year, on the date you first paid, at the price you signed up for, until you cancel.
- About 30 days before each renewal, we'll email you a reminder with the date and the amount.
- You can cancel any time: email us, or use the billing link we send you. You keep access until the end of the year you've paid for, and nothing more is charged.
- If a renewal goes through and you meant to cancel, tell us within 14 days and we'll refund it in full.
Your records
- The records your company puts in Red Card belong to your company.
- They're kept private to your company. Inside your company, you decide who can see and change what.
- Ask any time and we'll give you a copy of your records in a common file format.
- If you leave, we keep your records for 90 days in case you change your mind, then delete them.
- If you'd rather not wait, ask us and we'll give you a copy of your records and delete your account right away.
- More in our privacy note.
Safety calls stay with people
Red Card helps you keep track of readiness. It doesn't replace your judgment, an inspection, or any agency requirement, and it never makes a safety call for you. Your company stays responsible for its equipment, its people, and its compliance with agreements and the law.
If something goes wrong
We work hard to keep Red Card running and your records safe, and if something goes wrong we'll tell you quickly and work to make it right.
Still, all software can fail, and Red Card is in beta. So here's the limit, in plain terms: if Red Card fails you in a way that costs your company money, the most we can owe you is what you paid us for Red Card in the 12 months before the problem happened. If you paid $1,200 for your year, $1,200 is the most we'd owe.
Some laws don't allow a limit like this. Where they don't, it doesn't apply.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we'll email you before the change affects you. Changes never take away a founding price you already hold.
